    Area of Science:

    • Neurology
    • Endocrinology
    • Genetics

    Background:

    • Kallman's syndrome is a genetic disorder characterized by hypogonadotropic hypogonadism and the absence of the sense of smell.
    • It is often associated with other congenital abnormalities.

    Observation:

    • A 21-year-old male with Kallman's syndrome presented with extensive brain calcification.
    • Computed tomography revealed widespread calcification in the brain.
    • Serum calcium levels were normal.

    Findings:

    • The brain calcification pattern was nonspecific and similar to other metabolic disorders.
    • This case highlights brain calcification as a potential, previously unrecognized feature of Kallman's syndrome.

    Implications:

    • Kallman's syndrome should be considered in the differential diagnosis of developmental brain calcification.
    • Further research is needed to understand the mechanism and prevalence of brain calcification in Kallman's syndrome.
