Phospholipase C zeta 1 (PLCZ1) mutations are linked to polyspermy during in vitro fertilization (IVF). This study identifies new PLCZ1 mutations and demonstrates assisted oocyte activation (AOA) can overcome fertilization issues, leading to successful pregnancies.
