Comparison between myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronaries (MINOCA) and myocardial infarct patients

Myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) patients are younger and have better heart function than those with obstructive coronary artery disease (MI-CAD). However, one-year mortality rates were similar between the two groups.

Background:
- Myocardial infarction (MI) can occur with normal or near-normal coronary arteries, a condition termed MINOCA.

Conclusions:
- The prevalence of MINOCA in Yazd aligns with global figures.
- Despite younger age, better LV function, and fewer CAD risk factors, MINOCA patients do not appear to have a better prognosis than MI-CAD patients.
