Cell proliferation and apoptosis in canine oral papillomatosis

Canine oral papillomatosis, caused by canine papillomavirus-1, shows high cell proliferation and a mutant p53 gene. Despite this, apoptosis is favored, preventing malignant transformation in affected dogs.
