Assessing risk of major adverse cardiac events among patients with chest pain and cocaine use using the HEART score

Cocaine use does not increase the risk of major adverse cardiac events (MACE) in patients presenting with chest pain. The HEART score effectively risk-stratifies patients, regardless of cocaine-positive status, for acute coronary syndrome.
