The Association Between Metformin Use and New-Onset ICD Coding of Geographic Atrophy.

Metformin may reduce the risk of developing geographic atrophy (GA), a severe form of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). This study suggests metformin could be a promising preventative agent for GA.
