  • A two-arm, two-centre feasibility RCT with 1:1 randomization.
  • Included a qualitative component with patient and Extended Scope Practitioner (ESP) interviews.
  • Assessed recruitment, adherence, and outcome completion rates.

  • 57 patients were randomized, with 20 undergoing surgery within study timelines.
  • Intervention adherence was high (89%); 70% completed presurgery and 26% postsurgery outcomes.
  • Qualitative data indicated good acceptability of the study and intervention.

  • Further amendments can support a full RCT evaluating the REST intervention's effectiveness.
