This study developed a novel smart nanoparticle (SNP) and dissolving microarray patch (DMAP) system for targeted transdermal delivery of methotrexate (MTX) for rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The SNP-DMAP-MTX system demonstrates improved drug delivery, potentially reducing side effects and enhancing RA treatment efficacy.
