    Summary

    Phorbol dibutyrate (PDBU) treatment selectively induces adherence of natural killer (NK) cells in human peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL). This PDBU-induced adherence enriches NK cells for research and therapeutic applications.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the effect of phorbol dibutyrate (PDBU) on human peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL).
    • To determine if PDBU treatment can selectively enrich natural killer (NK) cells.

    • Human PBL were treated with PDBU at 37°C for 20-45 minutes.
    • Adherent cells (pAd) were isolated and analyzed for NK cell characteristics.
