Prognostic significance of the chemerin level in coronavirus disease 2019 patients

Serum chemerin levels are elevated in COVID-19 patients and correlate with disease severity. Higher chemerin levels indicate a poorer prognosis, suggesting its role in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) progression.
