The formation of teeth, also known as odontogenesis, is a complex process that begins in utero, around the sixth week of embryonic development. There are three stages to this process: the bud stage, the cap stage, and the bell stage.

Summary

This study analyzed five mandibular measurements from 500 adults to determine their effectiveness in age and sex estimation for forensic anthropology. Condylar ramus height best estimates age, while gonial angle, coronoid ramus height, and projective ramus height are key for sex determination.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate five mandibular parameters for their utility in age and sex determination.

  • Analysis of 500 individuals (250 male, 250 female) aged 20-30 years.
