Predictors for Dexmedetomidine Requirement for Sedation under Regional Anesthesia

This study found that older age and higher body mass index (BMI) predict lower initial doses of dexmedetomidine (DMT) needed for sedation during regional anesthesia. Careful titration is advised for elderly and obese patients.
