Background:

Streptomyces chrysomallus is a significant producer of the antibiotic actinomycin C.
Understanding the genetic makeup of S. chrysomallus is crucial for optimizing antibiotic production.
Previous genetic maps were unavailable for this specific strain.

Purpose of the Study:

To construct a circular genetic linkage map for Streptomyces chrysomallus.
To identify the order of marker loci within the S. chrysomallus genome.
