Assessment of the bulimic patient

A comprehensive method of assessing the bulimic patient founded on the biopsychosocial model is outlined. Particular emphasis is given to the behavioral, biological, and psychological levels of organization. Case material is used to illustrate the marked heterogeneity of the bulimic syndrome and the need for thorough assessment.
