Association between Colonoscopy Sedation Type and Polyp Detection: A Registry-based Cohort Study.

Propofol sedation during colonoscopy may improve the detection of serrated polyps, a difficult-to-find precursor to colorectal cancer. This study found propofol use was associated with higher serrated polyp detection rates compared to moderate sedation.
