Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) did not increase cardiovascular events (CVEs) in patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) on dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT). PPIs also lowered inflammatory markers like C-reactive protein (CRP) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α).
