[Indications for radiotherapy in the superior vena cava syndrome]

Abstract:
The effect of radiotherapy upon the superior vena cava syndrome is studied. The treatment is never curative and the patients survive between 3 and 13 months, but it is useful in 80 per 100 of the cases to alleviate the edema and dyspnea that are always grave.
