  • A systematic literature search was conducted across major scientific databases (PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Web of Science, Google Scholar) from 2019 to 2021.
  • Twenty-seven studies involving 1525 COVID-19 patients were included in the analysis.

Conclusions:

  • Physical training is an effective therapy for minimizing COVID-19 severity and improving patient recovery.
  • Incorporating physical training into conventional COVID-19 treatment protocols is recommended.
  • Further randomized controlled trials are needed to establish optimal exercise protocols and long-term benefits.
