[Antitumor activities in the aspects of evolution and development]

The self-defense mechanism is established on the basis of intrinsic requirements for the formation of multicellular organization and for the maintenance of individuality in each member of a species. Anti-tumor and also anti-parasite mechanisms are therefore included in such intrinsic requirements. In other words, self-defense is one of the concrete manifestations of the self-integrity-maintenance mechanism.
