Summary

Main Methods:

  • Observational, retrospective cohort study involving 1208 COVID-19 patients.
  • Data analyzed using Mann-Whitney, logistic regression, and ROC analyses.
  • Evaluated parameters included thrombocyte count, prothrombin time, aPTT, D-dimer, fibrinogen, AST, and ALT.

  • Fibrinogen and D-dimer levels at admission are valuable biomarkers for predicting COVID-19 prognosis.
  • Routine monitoring of these markers can aid in reducing COVID-19 morbidity and mortality.
  • Age was identified as the most significant independent factor for COVID-19 severity.
