Vitamin D receptor gene polymorphisms and multiple myeloma: a meta-analysis

Vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene polymorphisms are linked to increased multiple myeloma (MM) risk in Asian populations. Specific VDR variants, including TaqI, ApaI, BsmI, and FokI, show significant associations with MM development.

- Statistical analyses included leave-one-out sensitivity analysis, Begg's and Egger's tests for publication bias, and the trim-and-fill method. Analyses were performed using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis 3.0 and STATA 12.0 software.
