Clarifying the association between Parkinson's disease and vitiligo: a population-based large-scale study

Vitiligo is linked to a reduced risk of developing Parkinson's disease (PD). However, patients with both vitiligo and PD face increased mortality and cardiometabolic issues.

- Vitiligo is associated with a lower risk of developing Parkinson's disease.
- Comorbid Parkinson's disease in vitiligo patients increases mortality and cardiometabolic risks.
