Plant cells use plasmodesmata for communication. PLASMODESMATA-LOCATED PROTEINS (PDLPs) regulate callose at plasmodesmata. PDLP6 interacts with SUCROSE SYNTHASE 6 and CALLOSE SYNTHASE 7 in the vasculature to control plasmodesmal function.
