Summary

Patients with psoriasis show high treatment adherence and satisfaction, reporting good quality of life (QoL). Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) and Body Surface Area (BSA) scores correlate with QoL and satisfaction.

Background:

Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) assess patient perceptions of disease and treatment.
Psoriasis management relies on understanding patient experience.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate antipsoriatic treatment adherence.
To assess patient quality of life (QoL).
To determine patient satisfaction with psoriasis treatment.

Main Methods:

Observational, cross-sectional, prospective, single-center study.
Utilized Morisky-Green (MG) test for adherence, CESTEP for satisfaction, Skindex-29 and DLQI for QoL.
Correlated PROs with Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) and Body Surface Area (BSA).

Main Results:

75% of patients showed adherence via MG test; 94% via dispensation records.
High treatment satisfaction (CESTEP mean 7.4±7.7).
Minimal impact on QoL reported (DLQI 2.6±4.6, Skindex-29 14.6±15.4).
Significant correlations found between satisfaction, QoL, PASI, and BSA.

Conclusions:

Patients undergoing antipsoriatic therapy report good QoL, high adherence, and satisfaction.
Treatment satisfaction and QoL correlate significantly with disease severity (PASI-BSA).
PROs are crucial for comprehensive psoriasis management assessment.
