Summary

Cefazolin inoculum effect (CInE) was investigated in Japanese Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) isolates. Despite a high prevalence of the blaZ gene, no isolates met CInE criteria, suggesting a very low prevalence in this clinical setting.
