Piroxicam versus naproxen in rheumatoid arthritis: a double-blind, cross-over study

Piroxicam 20 mg daily was compared with naproxen 1000 mg daily in a double-blind cross-over study of 24 patients with rheumatoid arthritis. A comparison was also made with the pre-trial medication. The effect of the pre-trial medication, piroxicam and naproxen, were found to be similar. The side-effects of piroxicam and naproxen were similar and mild.
