Selenium Status Associates with Thyroid Hormone and Thyroid Dysfunction in Older Chinese Adults

This study found that higher selenium levels in elderly Chinese individuals are linked to lower thyroid-stimulating hormone and a reduced risk of hypothyroidism. However, elevated selenium also correlated with an increased risk of hyperthyroidism.
