Horse leucocyte proteinase-inhibitor system. Kinetic parameters of the inhibition reaction

Horse leucocyte neutral proteinase inhibitor reacts with all tested elastases at the molar ratios of 1:1 and yielding stable complexes (Ki = 10(-10) M). The above reactions are very rapid, characterized by the high values of association rate constant kon = 10(7) M-1s-1.
