  • 1Kenneth J. Schaefle is an assistant professor of medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center in New York, N.Y. He has been going to the Kisoro District of southwest Uganda regularly for 10 years. Aloyse Habimana is a clinical officer with Doctors for Global Health in Kisoro. Gideon Mhoza is a student in the clinical officers program at Kabale Institute of Health Sciences. Sam Musominali is the village health worker program director for Doctors for Global Health. The authors have disclosed no potential conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise.
