A Novel Cryptic Virus Isolated from Galphimia spp. in Mexico

A novel cryptic virus, tentatively named Galphimia cryptic virus (GCV), was discovered in symptomless Mexican medicinal plants using high-throughput sequencing. This finding marks the first virus identification in medicinal plants within Mexico.
