    Pediatric dermatitis herpetiformis (DH) presents with IgA deposits similar to adults. Gluten sensitivity varied among affected children, indicating DH can occur independently of diagnosed gluten sensitive enteropathy.

    Background:

    • Dermatitis herpetiformis (DH) is a chronic autoimmune blistering skin disease.
    • DH is characterized by granular IgA deposits in the dermal papillae.
    • The association between DH and gluten sensitive enteropathy (GSE) is well-established in adults.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the immunopathological features of DH in children.
    • To explore the relationship between pediatric DH and gluten sensitive enteropathy (GSE).
