Choroidal venous overload in Vogt‒Koyanagi‒Harada disease

Choroidal venous overload is common in Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) disease, appearing early and correlating with inflammation severity. These angiographic signs can help assess VKH disease status.

Purpose of the Study:
- To investigate the prevalence and characteristics of choroidal venous overload in VKH disease.

- Retrospective review of multimodal imaging (fluorescein angiography and indocyanine green angiography) in 52 VKH patients and 24 controls.

- Choroidal venous overload signs were significantly more prevalent in VKH eyes than controls (p<0.05).

- Choroidal venous overload is an early manifestation of VKH disease.
- Angiographic signs of choroidal venous overload are valuable indicators for assessing VKH disease activity and progression.
