Summary

The endoscopic transorbital (TO) approach is feasible for accessing anterior circulation arteries, including the internal carotid artery and middle cerebral artery. This minimally invasive technique shows potential for treating intracranial vascular lesions.

  • Anatomical study on 7 embalmed cadaveric specimens (12 sides).
  • Three-step endoscopic TO approach: superior-eyelid, anterior clinoid process (ACP) removal, lateral orbital rim removal.

  • The TO approach adequately visualized the middle cerebral artery bifurcation.

  • The endoscopic TO approach provides anatomical access to key anterior circulation vessels.
  • This approach holds promise for treating anterior circulation vascular pathologies, such as aneurysms.
