Previous research indicates resource scarcity impacts student achievement.

To provide empirical evidence on the chain effect of lacking recommended textbooks in universities.
To analyze the relationship between limited library resources and student behavior.

Quantitative dataset from 636 students across five public universities in Ghana.
Data collected via well-structured questionnaires.
Analysis using exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM).
