Building an antimicrobial stewardship model for a public-sector hospital: a pre-implementation study

Assessing readiness for an antimicrobial stewardship programme (ASP) in a tertiary facility revealed staff awareness of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and willingness to participate. Pre-implementation analysis identified strengths in existing structures but weaknesses in activity levels and engagement.
