Abstract:
Long-term complications of endoscopic sphincterotomy hitherto reported consist of recurrent common bile duct stones, cholangitis, cholecystitis and stenosis of the sphincterotomy opening. A case of unusual late complication - formation of new stones in the gallbladder - is described and consideration is given to the etiology.
