Polyuria in COVID-19 Patients Undergoing Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation

Polyuria, excessive urine production, occurred in over half of COVID-19 patients on veno-venous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VV ECMO). This condition did not significantly impact patient mortality, though fluid balance and certain blood markers differed between groups.

- Further research is needed to understand the mechanisms and clinical significance of polyuria during VV ECMO for COVID-19 management.
