Summary

This study used Mendelian randomization to investigate the causal link between gut microbes and multiple sclerosis (MS). Certain gut bacteria increase MS risk, while others, like Akkermansia muciniphila, offer protection, supporting the microbiome-gut-brain axis in MS.
