Preoperative intravenous mannitol administration and its rationale before cataract surgery

Intravenous mannitol infusion did not alter anterior chamber depth (ACD) or axial length (AXL) in phakic and pseudophakic eyes. However, mannitol significantly reduced intraocular pressure (IOP) in both groups.
