Elevated Blood Pressure: A Genetically Determined Risk Factor for Cerebral Artery Dissection

- Increased diastolic BP (DBP) was also significantly associated with higher CAD risk (IVW: OR = 2.17, P = 0.023).
- Sensitivity analyses confirmed the robustness of the findings.
Conclusions:
- This TSMR study suggests a causal relationship between high SBP and DBP and an increased likelihood of CAD.
- The findings provide genetic support for the benefit of BP control in reducing CAD risk.
