The IWT showed a significant association with subjective metamorphopsia severity (P=0.005) and Morphision results (P=0.015).
A strong correlation was found between IWT scores and the nature of vitreoretinal pathology (P=0.007).
No significant correlation was observed with visual acuity or M-CHARTS scores.

Conclusions:

The IWT effectively creates a digital map of subjective metamorphopsia, quantifying its severity and nature.
This novel test offers potential for future noninvasive correction of visual distortions via inverse mapping.
