Adding 2-deoxy-2-18F-fluoro-D-glucose-positron emission tomography (18F-FDG-PET)/CT scans significantly improves bone biopsy accuracy. This molecular imaging guidance reduces inconclusive results and misdiagnoses in patients with bone lesions.
