Idiopathic oromandibular dyskinesia treated by Vo complex microstereotactic thalamotomy
Applied Neurophysiology
|January 1, 1985
Abstract:
Two cases of oromandibular or buccolingual dyskinesia, which did not respond to medical therapy, had lesions produced in the Vo complex of the thalamus by microstereotactic surgery with almost complete relief of symptoms. It was assumed the symptom, as well as levodopa-induced dyskinesia, may depend on the striato-pallido-thalamic projection.
