Summary

Brain stimulation, specifically repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) to the medial prefrontal cortex (MPFC), can alter attractiveness ratings. Low-frequency rTMS increased perceived attractiveness, while high-frequency rTMS decreased it, suggesting MPFC involvement in how others perceive appearance.
