Posttraumatic stress disorder increases thrombosis risk: Evidence from a biobank data set

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) significantly increases deep venous thrombosis (DVT) risk, particularly in women. Neuroimmune pathways involving stress activity and autonomic function appear to mediate this connection, suggesting new therapeutic targets.
