Geometric distortions in echo-planar imaging diffusion-weighted MRI (EPI-DWI) minimally impact apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values for radiotherapy. However, significant geometric changes in the gross tumor volume (GTV) highlight the need for corrections in dose painting strategies.

- However, substantial geometric alterations in GTV shape necessitate distortion correction for strategies relying on spatial ADC map information, such as dose painting.
- Phantom measurements validated the applied correction methods.
