Summary

The right-first lung transplant approach, unlike the traditional perfusion-guided method, significantly lowers the need for intraoperative extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). This sequence also shows a trend towards reducing primary graft dysfunction (PGD) after double-lung transplantation.
