High-frequency positive pressure ventilation (HFPPV) offers comparable oxygenation and ventilation to intermittent positive pressure ventilation (IPPV) but with lower airway pressures. HFPPV also aids in reducing hypoxia risk during anesthesia emergence and tracheal suctioning.
