    Summary

    Physalaemin significantly inhibits thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) and thyrotropin (TSH) secretion in rats by acting on the hypothalamus. Its effects on TSH release are modulated by central nervous system amines.

    Background:

    • Thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) regulates the secretion of thyrotropin (TSH).

    Purpose of the Study:
