Acute atrial infarction: a relatively neglected and under-recognized entity in clinical practice

Acute atrial infarction (AAI) is an under-recognized condition. Angiographic criteria for AAI were met by 6.78% of acute coronary syndrome patients, with distinct ECG findings differentiating infarct-related arteries.
